Loved it/bought it since ★★★★ • Good stuff ★★★ • Not for me ★★ • Hated it ★

My review of the Vegan Cuts September 2014 snack box. As of September 2014 I had been subscribed a year. If you have any questions about Vegan Cuts, let me know in the comments below.

Cobra Corn (aka Spiced & Infused) – Caramel Corn –  ★★★★

Description: Gluten-free, non-GMO popcorn with a savory spice mix and no artificial flavors.

Delicious and almost spicy with flavor. The kernels were shiny and caramel-colored. It looks like they have since rebranded and might not carry this flavor, but they do have others that sound equally tasty. All products are vegan and gluten-free.

Available at Amazon (still there!) • Spiced & Infused

Earth Balance – White Cheddar Mac & Cheese – ★★★★

Description: Delicious, easy-to-make Cheddar Mac & Cheese that cures cravings for a certain childhood favorite.

OMG. I think the white cheddar one is my favorite. We’ve bought several. I love adding a lot of minced garlic and throwing in fresh arugula, baby kale, or steamed broccoli.

Local peeps, the Moscow Food Co-op carries both varieties.

Vibrant Health – Green Powder – ★★★★

Description: Potentially alkalizing, raw green supplement that detoxifies and energizes.

Potent to those unexperienced with green powders but effective none the less. Plus the more greens you eat, the more used to the taste you’ll get. I suggest blending a serving with a small amount of orange juice and downing it instead of ‘ruining’ the taste of an entire smoothie. It’s like a pre-shot. 😉

One Potato Two Potato – Hawaiian BBQ Potato Chips – ★★★

Description: Hawaiian BBQ potato chips that are kettle cooked with sweet and tangy flavors.

I’m dying of cuteness overload. Go visit their site. They make a really good flavorful chip.

Available at One Potato Snacks

Buddy Fruits – Smoothie Pouch – ★★★

Description: A healthy and delicious strawberry, banana, and apple smoothie inside a squeezable pouch.

Yes. Smoothie pouches are pretty weird, but also delicious. I went through a phase in my early twenties when I bought baby food bananas and these pouches remind me of that. They’re a great snack for hiking, camping, or just out and about. Mix a packet in with plain cooked oatmeal and you have tripled the flavor while only adding a few calories.

Ingredients: Apple, banana, passion fruit juice, mango, strawberry, concentrated apple juice.

Bodylogix – Natural Dark Chocolate Protein Powder – ★★★

Description: GMO-free chocolate protein powder that’ll make your next smoothie extra sweet.

Really good. Great texture. No digestive upsets. I blended this with 2 bananas and water. They also carry whey protein but their vegan ones are well marked.

Other highlights: No artificial flavours or sweeteners • High in BCAA (Branch Chain Amino Acids) with over 3500 mg per serving • Gluten-free and lactose free • Mixes easily in any liquid with or without a blender • No soy protein • No added sugar • Sweetened naturally with organic stevia • Free from residual antibiotics, pesticides, herbicides and heavy metals • The first-of-its-kind eco-pack is compostable and recyclable • Safe for kids and adults to enhance their daily protein intake

Ingredients: Plant Protein Blend (Pea protein, potato protein, chia seed protein, hemp seed protein, organic sprouted whole grain brown rice protein, quinoa protein), inulin, erythritol, natural chocolate flavor, organic stevia leaf extract.

Wild Friends Nut Butter – Chocolate Peanut Coconut Peanut Butter – ★★★

Description: A smooth, natural nut butter that combines chocolate, peanut, and coconut for a sweet and savory treat.

Get out the spoon. Thank god this was just a packet. Amazon carries all of their products if you can’t find them locally. Know that all of the butters are dairy-free except the protein infused ones. For those with peanut allergies, their almond and sunflower seed butters are produced in allergen-friendly facilities. And for those concerned about palm-oil, they don’t use it.

Ingredients: Peanuts, organic dark chocolate (cane sugar, cocoa liquor, cocoa powder) organic virgin coconut oil, salt. Contains: Peanuts. Made on shared equipment with soy, sesame, and tree nuts.

Available at Amazon

Ultima – Electrolyte Powder – ★★★

Description: Orange and Grape replenisher powder that provides 8 essential electrolytes.

A great alternative to the Gatorade and Powerades of the world. Electrolyte replenishment really comes down to glucose and minerals. Ultima replaces those minerals with an easy to dissolve powder blend.

Ingredients: Non-GMO maltodextrin, citric acid, natural flavor, stevia leaf extract, beta carotene (for color), silica, beet color, Luo Han Guo fruit extract.

Available at AmazonUltima • [find a store]

Barnana – Coconut Banana Bites – ★★★★

Description: Little bites of dehydrated banana with organic coconut flakes.

I love barnana! They look like brownie bites and for being dehydrated banana have a pleasant banana bread flavor. I’ve tried and enjoyed their original, chocolate, and coconut. Great hiking or road trip snack.

They avoid vegan verbage on their site, but it does look like all of their products are vegan. If you go into specific product listing the V image is on all products. They have several other flavors including: organic apple cinnamon, organic peanut butter, organic chocolate, organic original, organic coffee, and organic coconut.

Available at AmazonBarnana
