Habit Cosmetics • Nail Polish, Disco • ★★★★

Value, $18

Description: Habit gives you the gorgeous color you crave and strengthens your nails (that’s Myrrh extract at work), all without the harmful chemicals found in other brands. // HOW TO USE: After applying your go-to base coat, swipe on 1-2 coats of color and finish with a top coat for a truly bellissimo mani.

Everything about this polish is gorgeous from the shade to the bottle. Disco is a soft sandy metallic. One coat is sheer and lovely and two is solid. Myrrh the strengthening ingredient in this nail polish is a sap derived from the myrrha tree. We’ll have to see how strong my talons get! 😉 💅

Available at Habit Cosmetics

Hana Organic Skincare • Eye Oil • ★★★

Value, $18 (full-size, $40)

Description: The delicate area around your eyes will love the gentle, soothing and smoothing properties of this nourishing eye oil. // HOW TO USE: Shake well before each use. Pat one or two drops around the outer eye area, gently tapping with finger until fully absorbed.

I don’t use any under eye products on the regular so I don’t have a lot of experience, but this is the first oil-based one I’ve tried. Hana’s eye oil only has 4 ingredients: jojoba oil, rosehip seed oil, vitamin e, and rose essential oil. The scent is very subtle and refreshing. I love that they are a Washington State based business!

Ursa Major of VT • Fantastic Face Wash • ★★★★

Value, $6 (full-size, $28)

Description: A foaming gel cleanser with a natural brightening complex, this everyday essential is made with a spirited fusion of premium, whole essential oils including cedar, spearmint, lime, lemon, rosemary, black spruce, owyhee, vetiver, and lavender. Face wash has never smelled so good! // HOW TO USE: Wet face and hands with warm water. Pour quarter-size dose into palm and use hands to activate formula. Massage thoroughly over face, neck and around ears…enjoy. Leave on for 30-60 seconds for an extra hit of exfoliation. Rinse well. Use AM, PM and after exercise for clear, healthy skin.

The scent is wonderfully refreshing, very herbal and androgynous.

Essence of Vali • Sleep – A Bedtime Ritual • ★★★★

Value, $1 (full-size, $18)

Description: This concentrated natural blend will ease you into a peaceful sleep and comfort you during times of stress. // HOW TO USE: Apply to pulse points such as the insides of the elbow, wrists, temples and lightly blend in. For a more powerful transition, apply onto fingertips and blend into palms of hands, cup over nose while breathing in deeply.

I love calming lavender blends like this one. Along with lavender there is cedarwood, marjoram leaves, and ylang ylang. The directions on the PV card state to place this on the skin yet the directions from the company recommend avoiding the skin and instead placing a tincture near where you sleep. I’ve opted for my pillowcase and love it!
