Cult Cosmetics – Nail Polish, The Roxy – ★★★★
Description: California-made, 5-free nail polish in a sweet seasonal shade.
The Roxy is a gorgeous pastel lavender. Cult Cosmetics is a new-to-me-brand of nail polish. I love the bottles and how the lid is actually the lid (if you have LVX-you know what I mean). I can’t wait to try this and check them out!
Kaia Naturals – Bamboo Tapioca Beads – ★★★★
Description: Cleanser + Exfoliator + Mask, Mix with water and you’re good to go! // A daily exfoliating cleanser made from 100% natural ingredients: coconut, chickpeas, deep cleansing clay and a touch of tapioca to absorb oil. // Activate the concentrated powder formula by adding water or customize with moringa oil to create an effective makeup remover. Massage paste over face then rinse off to remove impurities and leave skin feeling soft and hydrated. //Perfect for even the most sensitive skin-types – exfoliate as little or as much as you like! The more water, the more gentle the exfoliation. You can also use it as a mask – just leave it on for 10 minutes. // This product contains no additives, no fillers, or preservatives. 100% natural, vegan and ocean-friendly.
Ingredients: kaolin, manihot esculenta (tapioca) root starch, sodium cocoyl isethionate, chick pea powder, bambusa arundicacea stem extract, citrus tangerina, citrus grandis, citrus nobilis, silica.
If you’ve been looking for a product that’s gentle yet exfoliating and can even be used daily—this bamboo tapioca powder is IT! I haven’t tried using it as a mask yet, but as a quick exfoliator in the morning it is amazing. Very fine and light like flour and you can feel the subtlest granules sweeping over your skin and clearing it out.
Petal Fresh – Shampoo – ★★★
Description: Stimulating organic Tea Tree Oil invigorates scalp and hair. Tea Tree contains natural antiseptic properties that nourish and restore dry, damaged hair while promoting a healthier scalp and greater shine.
I don’t have a dry scalp so I’m not the ideal candidate, but I did enjoy this shampoo for the most part. It has a traditional texture, lathers just enough, and left my hair feeling squeeky clean. I did notice that my hair became oiler sooner than normal. Which makes sense, because I don’t suffer from dry scalp. It has a refreshing herbal scent thanks to tea tree and a few other essential oils.
Azalia Spa Goods – Mystical Juniper Oil – ★★★★
Description: Juniper Berry botanicals quickly absorb to replenish skin’s natural moisture. A fresh, uplifting scent with woody undertones helps with headaches, colds and flu.
I used this baby up right it away. I fell in love with the scent immediately and used it after the shower. It was moisturizing and a drier oil than say coconut oil. Easy to get dressed quickly.
Available at Azalia Spa Goods
Shea Terra – Whipped Shea Butter, Bourbon Vanilla – ★★★★
Description: 99.7% Natural. 90% Organic Ingredients. How extreme is your body cream? Ours is mighty extreme. In order to be effective for dry skin and skin conditions a product requires a large amount of shea butter and we’ve got it right here. We combine 30% organic shea butter from a hippo conservation project with real, dark bourbon vanilla in pure aloe juice for a creamy moisturizer that keeps skin hydrated all day long.
It smells like gd cookies! Or vanilla ice cream! Yes! It has an off white almost tan color which could be from the vanilla, shea butter or both. It’s a thicker paste, but is easy to get out and melts right into the skin. Love it!
