If you enjoyed the Spicy Thai Apple Snacks from 2 weeks ago, I have it in good faith you will love today’s Masala Spiced Pear Toast.
Simple and easy yet atypical and mouth-watering!
If you’ve had garam masala hiding in your cabinet, time to dig it out. It’s lightly used but adds so much flavor to this unique snack.
This pear is from one of my recent WSU orchard trips and they are so sweet and just melt in your mouth. I received a good tip from one of Jeremy’s co-workers too, wait until the end of pear season when they drop the price from $1/lb to $0.25/lb and buy a bunch to slice and dehydrate into pear crisps. Good deal!
Turn this snack into a sandwich by adding another 1/2 tablespoon of peanut butter and another slice of bread.
The ginger in this adds a little kick but also boosts nutrient absorption/assimilation, can alleviate nausea, as well as bring relief to joints due to its anti-inflammatory properties.
