This week is about body positive actions and affirmations we can add to our daily rhythms plus a green smoothie for nourishment!
I am perfect and complete just the way I am
I wanted to touch on this subject because of my own habit I recently noticed.
It’s a ‘practice’ I have done every single day yet never think about why I do it and how it affects my own self image. I’m pretty sure it’s a habit that started in middle school 19 years ago.
Everyday when I get dressed it is my habit to leave my towel on until my shirt and jeans are in place. Like I’m on the 6th grade outdoor education field trip and awkwardly using shared showers for the first time.
So the towel is on and I’ve just stepped out of the shower and walked to the bedroom, with the towel wrapped snuggly around my body I put on my bra then shirt and lastly jeans.
Every single day.
It’s not even that I feel bad about myself in that moment, a lot of it is comfort and staying warm until I’m dressed but it’s also comfort in not looking at myself naked.
My new habit will be leaving the towel in the bathroom and walking down the hall naked to get dressed or even bring clothes in with me.
Either way, I will look at myself with love and appreciation.
The great thing about a habit is you can replace it with a new—better for you—habit.
Practice appreciation for this beautiful vessel that has carried and supported you on this life’s journey.

Shake Your Tree Green Smoothie
- 3 medium bananas
- 1 1/2 cups frozen peach slices
- 1 lemon, peeled and quartered
- 2-3 cups fresh or frozen spinach
- 1 1/2 cups water (+more to desired thinness)
- Add ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.
- Enjoy the nourishment!
