I’m sharing something a little more skull-ish and crafty today instead of foodie.
Back in April one of my favorite youtube fitness peeps and blogger, Cassey with Blogilates, shared a tutorial and a video for how to turn an old shirt into a new and sexy workout tank. I tried the project back at the time but failed when I cut one of the arm straps at the shoulder. Embarrassing chuckles.
I took a few months to have my pride recover or rather find a new appropriate shirt to cut up. Enter my April threadless.com order.
I ordered this shirt back then also, wore it once, washed it once – nothing crazy but the print drastically faded in the pit area and along the lower hemline. Upon their twitter suggestion I emailed a pic to customer service and was promptly rewarded with a replacement tee and a $5 off coupon code. Yay! I’ve ordered 4 shirts from them and love the artist designs they use and how their shirts feel. I was also relieved and happy to know that their customer service is prompt, funny, and nice.
So, I just made the shirt this morning and am very happy with it. It took less than a half hour to do and you don’t need a sewing machine. Check it out!
