I got this idea from a bar – believe it or not. Back on New Year’s day, a friend had ordered a shot, that he sipped. Whether or not you were supposed to sip, I don’t know and that’s not the point here. 🙂 The point IS, the bar goddess sprinkled sugar and cinnamon on the oranges which gave me this idea for a healthy fun snack!
Oranges have plenty of their own natural and delicious sugar, so I just sprinkled these with cinnamon. Can I tell you how good these are? Really good! It’s a new favorite.
They also remind me of that Tang drink, Instant Russian Tea, a childhood friend’s mom made. Do you know the one? It’s Tang mixed with instant tea, cloves, allspice, cinnamon, and sugar (lots of sugar).
This simple snack reminded me of that yummy but too sugary drink. Although, as I type this, I think you could put one of these orange slices in a mug with some black tea and boiling water; it just might be reminiscent enough.

Yes – it is tasty! You could add honey or agave but I don’t usually add sweetener to my tea.
