Turning simple into a meal, because you can. It will be delicious, filling and fun! Hooray. Ants on a hill was my lunch yesterday and really doesn’t need instruction, just general guidelines.
Do you have some celery in your fridge that could get used up? Me too. I still have some celery leftover from my 3ft stalk purchase two weeks ago.
Enter ants on a log or rather ants on a motha f’in hill! *chuckles* Not exactly the same line as “I’m on a boat”, but it’s what I’m picturing. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, check out Saturday Night Live’s Digital Short, I’m on a Boat. Uncensored and Censored versions. I love Andy Samberg and The Lonely Island boys!
Ants on a Hill Ingredients
- 1 of your favorite apples, cored & diced
- 2 stalks of celery, diced
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1-2 tablespoons of natural peanut butter or other favorite natural nut butter
- 1 teaspoon mesquite honey (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- Mix ingredients in a bowl and Enjoy!
What’s your favorite way to eat celery? I definitely like PB and celery the best. I feel like celery always needs a dip, whereas I’ll eat carrots or broccoli without dip. Strangeness. 😉
